NTA-Try Tennis Clinic

The Nile Tennis Academy presents the Try Tennis Clinic with Tauheed R. Browning, "Coach T,”  This free clinic is  for boys and girls ages 5-14 years old. The 30 minute clinic introduces each child to Tennis in preparation for future NTA programs. All equipment will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes , sneakers, hat or visor and sunblock.

About the Instructor

Tauheed R. Browning, "Coach T,” started playing tennis with the National Junior Tennis League

of Philadelphia’s summer program, eventually being selected to join The Bill Johnson Tennis

Team, a grassroots program based in West Philadelphia.  This was the catalyst for him to attend Hampton University where he majored in Professional

Tennis Management before spending several years working in the private and public sectors.

After attending Temple University’s School Of Real Estate and Wharton’s Business Analytics

Certificate Program, he returned to one of his life’s passions – teaching and coaching tennis.

Tasked with instructing Special Olympics teams, autistic and 10 & Under students, Coach T

has grown the game throughout inner-city recreation centers.

Over a 20 year span, Coach T has developed numerous players that have attended higher

education institutions including the University Of Pennsylvania, Duquesne, West Chester,

LaSalle, Goucher, and North Carolina A&T among others.

A certified tennis professional, Coach T has held various leadership positions including serving

as a 10 & Under Director, Co-Lead of High Performance clinics, and Director of Tennis with the

Washington Tennis and Education Foundation.

In addition, he has worked with nationally, International Tennis Federation, and professionally

ranked tennis players including a stint at the revered Junior Tennis Champions Center in

Maryland, developing and honing players’ skills on and off the court.
